De Bakzolder Almond Macaroon Cake Mix 500 g

Easily bake a delicious cake with the distinctive flavours of almond macaroons and amaretto with De Bakzolder Bitterkoekjes Cake Mix 500 g. The mix contains pieces of crushed almond macaroons and has a refined amaretto flavour, resulting in a light and flavoursome cake with something a little extra.

The cake mix is easy to prepare: simply add butter and eggs. For a fresh twist, you can add a little lemon zest to the batter. Finish the cake with a few amarettini on top for extra crunch and a festive look.

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 160 °C (fan oven 150 °C).
2. Soften 250 g butter.
3. Add 500 g cake mix and 5 medium eggs. Add a little lemon zest if desired.
4. Mix for 3 minutes at medium speed until smooth.
5. Transfer the batter to a greased baking tin.
6. Bake in the centre of the oven for approx. 55 minutes. Check with a skewer to see if the cake is done.
7. Leave to cool on a wire rack.

Tip: decorate the top with amarettini for extra crunch and a beautiful finish.
